Logging blood sugar with context
This article is for general wellness education. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Camera readings in Cardivo are estimates. If you feel unwell or think you are having an emergency, contact emergency services and a clinician.
Blood sugar (glucose) is the amount of sugar in the blood. Meal timing changes it. A fasting value, a value before eating, a value after eating, and a bedtime value are different stories. Cardivo lets you log a meter reading with that context. The camera does not measure glucose.
Why context matters
The same 119 mg/dL can mean different things before breakfast and two hours after a sweet drink. Educational bands in Cardivo are labeled with that in mind. They follow common public teaching ranges and are not a diagnosis of diabetes or hypoglycemia.
If you live with diabetes
Your targets come from your care team. Insulin and some other medicines raise the importance of lows. Persistent highs or lows, and any emergency symptoms, need clinical care — not an app label. You can set diabetes care in Cardivo’s profile so on-screen bands match the situation you described, still as education only.
Practical logging
- Use the meter or CGM your clinician recommended.
- Write fasting vs meal vs bedtime every time.
- Bring the log to appointments instead of relying on memory.
